He also has solid experience defending businesses involving employment practices including Title VII, ADA discrimination and accommodation, Equal Pay Act, FMLA, sexual harassment claims, whistleblower and state equal employment laws. Before obtaining his law degree, Jim worked as a police officer, and then in a fraud unit at an insurance company while attending law school. The experience had a profound impact on his work as a litigator. He gained a lifetime of experience interacting with people of all ages, cultures, backgrounds and beliefs. He learned quickly the importance of keeping an open mind, and the art of investigation and interrogation. Jim has also served in the past as a case evaluator and arbitrator.
