MACKENZIE C. BURNS is an Associate Attorney with Vandeveer Garzia. Mackenzie practices in insurance defense litigation and has experience with first and third party No-Fault Benefits, premise liability, general negligence, and personal injury matters.
Mackenzie attended the University of Miami School of Law on a full-tuition Dean’s Merit Scholarship. While in law school, Mackenzie enrolled in the BILT (Business Innovation Law and Technology) program and clerked for several Miami law firms. He was also able to assist entrepreneurs and small business owners through the Startup Practicum by drafting various transactional documents, prosecuting and successfully obtaining a trademark, and advising his clients of possible liabilities. Mackenzie would also go on to receive the CALI award in his Legal Communications and Research class, become a research assistant to Professor Andrew Dawson, and graduate cum laude.
