DENA M. AURAHA is an Associate Attorney with Vandeveer Garzia. She focuses her practice on defense litigation in the areas of first and third-party auto negligence, premises liability, and general negligence.
Dena graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Oakland University in 2012. She also attended Schoolcraft College where she served as captain of the Soccer Team and named as part of the All American team. She earned her juris doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2016. While in law school, Dena spent time doing public defense work by representing misdemeanor defendants in 35th District Court and 36th District Court as a student attorney.
During law school Dena was a member of the Moot Court team and the Law Review. She also served as a co-chair on the Public Interest Committee and as Vice President of her class.
She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is admitted to practice law in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Dena is also conversationally fluent in Arabic.
