PETER R. O’TOOLE is an Executive Partner at Vandeveer Garzia. He focuses his practice on defense litigation and leads a team of attorneys in the areas of insurance coverage, government and mass transit liability, personal injury, catastrophic first-party automobile claims, third-party automobile negligence, premises liability and worker’s compensation matters. Peter defends various national clients and several major insurance carriers in both state and federal court. Peter has successfully tried to verdict numerous multimillion dollar cases throughout the state of Michigan regarding personal injury, catastrophic loss, and first-party no-fault claims.

Peter has also assisted clients in the development of insurance coverage including assistance in drafting insurance policy language, policies and procedures in adjusting claims, and the application of new statutes and regulations. Peter regularly serves as an arbitrator for national carriers in a dealing with first-party no-fault claims and automobile negligence actions.
