Michael has practiced in the realm of insurance defense since 1986. He has handled complex litigation matters, including medical malpractice, product liability, toxic torts, construction, municipal and criminal law matters, and has tried many cases to successful verdict in these areas over his career. His clients have included several major asbestos product manufacturers, Michigan Hospital Association, Michigan Healthcare Professionals, and many individual clinics, hospitals and physicians located throughout Michigan. Early in his career, Mike served as a state assistant prosecuting attorney in Oakland County, Michigan, handling felony and misdemeanor cases from warrant phase through trial, receiving the Prosecutor’s Distinguished Service Award in 1985 before entering into private practice.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mike worked as a law clerk in Oakland County Circuit Court for Judges Fred Mester and Farrell Roberts, and as a legislative correspondent for U.S. Rep. M. Robert Carr in Washington D.C.
