Victor Balta is a Partner with Vandeveer Garzia. He handles complex civil litigation matters, including negligence, business and commercial law and litigation, professional & healthcare liability, auto and PIP litigation, and premises liability.
In law school, Victor was a Managing Editor of the Michigan State Law Review and a member of the Trial Practice Institute. During law school, Victor won several Jurisprudence awards for the highest student achievement in several courses. Prior to joining Vandeveer Garzia, Victor has handled numerous complex legal matters and appeals, including gross negligence, statutory immunity, employment discrimination, and police misconduct claims.
Victor has successfully briefed and argued cases involving recreational waivers; the Michigan Governmental Tort Liability Act; the Michigan Ski Area Safety Act; Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; the Elliot Larsen Civil Rights Act; and 42 U.S.C. 1983.
