DAVID Q. HOUBECK is an Executive Partner with Vandeveer Garzia. He focuses his practice in the area of Business and Commercial Litigation, in addition to other complex civil litigation matters, including negligence, employment law, construction litigation, municipal law, premises liability, and appellate practice. Mr. Houbeck provides advice, counsel, and representation to businesses, corporations, and municipalities specifically tailored to the distinctive needs of each client.

Mr. Houbeck joined the firm in 2012 during law school as a Law Clerk before accepting an Associate Attorney position in 2013. In law school, Mr. Houbeck was a Managing Associate Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and a member of the National Moot Court Competition Team. His article analyzing the Open and Obvious Danger Doctrine was published in the law review’s Online Edition, and he was awarded the John D. Voelker Award for his significant contribution to the publication of the law review. He also competed in the National Veterans’ Law Moot Court Competition in Washington D.C. and the National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition in Seattle, Washington.
