John M. McManus is an Executive Partner at Vandeveer Garzia who practices in the areas of Automobile Liability, Construction Law, Premises Liability, Professional Liability, Dram Shop and Liquor Liability, Product Liability, and Criminal Law in both the Federal and State systems. He is licensed in both Michigan and Ohio and has active practices in both the State and the Federal systems.

He has experience representing insurance companies, self-insured national clients, and individuals in civil litigation, and over the past ten-plus years has been appointed to represent numerous Federal Defendants under the Criminal Justice Act. He has successfully argued in the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Michigan Court of Appeals, and tried cases in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, Southern Division, and state courts in Michigan. He was admitted to practice in 1990 and has been continuously practicing and litigating from that date forward.
